Working with Hardware

After obtaining my Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, I started my career as an Electronics Engineer working at Advance Micro Power in NY. I had the opportunity to work alongside senior engineers to design and test controllers built using 8-bit Atmel microcontrollers.

Working at Advance Micro Power gave me exposure to the entire product development lifecycle: from the idea, to creating product specification, developing a prototype and alpha testing, beta and field testing, and finally to the finished product.

Managing Software Products

My next venture led me to Speco Technologies, where I was brought in as a Product Engineer to work on the design and testing of IP cameras. Soon, I was promoted to Product Manager, where I sucessfully managed the flagship software and initiated the company's transition to a software-centric product line.

As the Product Manager, I enjoyed working with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of the product. Actively engaging with customers, sales team, technical support, and C-suite was critical in making sure the product met or exceeded expectations.

Learning To Code

Working with developers to tackle technical challenges at Speco Technologies reignited my passion for using engineering principles and tools to solve real-world problems, so I decided to join Fullstack Academy of Code in NY to learn to code.

At Fullstack Academy, I built web appllications using the NERDS stack (Node.js, Express, React, Databases using SQL). We learned to utilize Git in a team setting, and employed Agile methodologies to ensure project requirements were met on time. Daily Stand-Up and the Code of Conduct ensured team members were always in sync.

Through the power of code I look forward to working on solving problems that help better the world we live in.
